Well I got my BoomTubes series 2 today and spent the last few hours installing them.  They look and sound great.  They come with a pretty decent amount of baffling so they are not too loud and definitely very deep sounding.  I think I am finally at a place in the modification process where I can be content to stop (famous last words)

  • BoomTubes series 2
  • Speedy Moto Clutch plate and cover
  • Corbin Seat with bolts for tying down luggage (nicely hidden under the cowl)
  • GSP mount
  • Puig windscreen
  • Rizoma Reverse Retro

Can we see some more pics of that Corbin seat?

OK, I guess there was one more final mod, I removed the frame stickers.  I actually thought of getting a new rearset, but I think enough money has been spent for now.  Maybe a new rearset down the road.  Any recommendations if I find that sometime down the road ends up being next week  Grin

As for the Corbin, I got it during a ride-in-session.  You get to talk with the guy making the seat and give feedback on how you want things changed from the standard template they have for your model bike.  The templates are made when the first customer with your bike comes in.  Whoever was their first M1100 customer must either lie really far back in their seat or have been 6'6".  The off-the-shelf seat they put on my bike was horrible.  It took a few rounds with the worker to get it just perfect.  They can pretty much change anything you want.  I then asked him to sink a few 5/16 bolts into the pillon seat so that I could put eye bolts in there for tying down luggage.  He said it was no problem and did not even charge me anything more for it.  The seat is great, but I would not order it unless you can do a ride-in-session.

wow, based on your use of the pillion seat, I can't see your hauling passengers.

you should go for any of the rearsets that take it down to a solo rider set.

Woodcraft
S&P
Rizoma
etc.

do a search in the Acc & Mod section and you'll see a ton.

The bolts come out and the pillon is still usable.  The nuts are in the seat pan and cannot be felt by someone sitting on the pillon.  Having said that, I have not intention of taking a pillon.

everytime i see a set of these on a bike, I can't wait for mine to get made even more.  I'm a few weeks out still, but they are definitely the best looking option by far.

seeing these made me want to part with the termi full system that's on my bike already even more
