So, I spent some time detailing my wife's 1988 Honda Hawk 650.  Everything is original except the Supertrapp exhaust and K&N air filter.  She's 22 years old and taught me a thing or two.  I can drag a knee effortlessly on this little 58HP bike, much easier than my M750 or 900SS.  My wife has been learning on this bike because it is so easy to ride fast and fun.

Keep in mind, this is original to 1988 as far as paint/appearance goes ~

That looks brand new.

Good, my wife hasn't seen it since I detailed it!

Find a bike that's stupid easy to ride (like a Honda Hawk) and when you're riding hard enough to drag the exhaust bolt (right side) or peg feeler (left side) just slide off the low side and stick your knee out.  I can barely drag on my 900SS and it usually has to be a decreasing radius turn, but is a piece of cake with the Hawk ~

That's awesome! Really nice. You should be proud! [thumbsup] Those were (still are!) great little scooters! The predecessor to the SV650 Suzook line up! [clap]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

When/if your wife decides to get another bike and you want to unload that one, PLEASE put it for sale here! I'm a while away from buying another one, and I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but I really am starting to have a thing for your wife's bike.

You did a wonderful job detailing it.
