Clutch master or slave leaking

How do you diagnose if it's the master or slave that is leaking down.  The level is not dropping, but it's certainly leaking down, and fairly quickly too.

I replaced the slave with an old one that I had from my former 04-S4R that was working fine when I removed it.  No change.

I just replaced the plates and the stack height is a little tight, but it was leaking down before I changed the plates.

I have about 34,000 mi. on the bike now. My guess is master and damn, they're a little pricey.

Anybody rebuild one before?

You don't mention what bike or type of master.

Radial...conventional?

Sorry. I started to ask you directly with a PM anyway.  It's a S4RS radial master.

Thanks,

I have a friend with a 749...same master. She went through multiple masters/slaves and never could get through a track day without losing pressure.

ducvet put a different brand in place of the Brembo and the problem went away edit: got better but air still seems to be getting in.

Want me to find out what kind?

Alternatively this may take some of the sting out.   http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=10.8101.10
