I'm a little torn. The suspension isn't set up for me so it's a little soft (since Tocino weighs 12 lbs and I weigh 1200
). Who are we kidding? Hell yeah, I'm taking it!
Anybody want to play suspension guru? I printed the suspension manifesto out of the FAQ's, but don't have the the tools and such to do it. Like that spanner wrench for the rear shock...it's so soft I feel like I'm floating down the road on a lazyboy like a harley rider.

You'll most likely be looking at getting the forks re-sprung, so keep that in mind. Not sure what weight range the spring on the rear shock is quoted for...

That's what winter is for. I can limp along soft for now....hmmm. that sounds bad depending on the context.

If the spanner wrench is the same used to rotate the hub I can bring one tomorrow. If the forks are adjustable, then you can just increase pre-load and rebound, if not then just sit a bit further back
The spring on my 750 is compressed all the way to the max. Come winter I'll get one from racetech. Maybe we could turn this into a group thing.
Of course there will be those who actually work on the bikes and those who will just sit around and drink beer

The forks are adjustable and I have the stock settings from the owner's manual. I may run down and play around with it after I eat some dinner.

Have to take the bars off to get to all the fork adjuster bits, so I stole the speedy moto frame sliders from the 620. Poor 620.

nice looking bike, but put the baffles back in, was riding a 796 today with termi slipons without baffles way too obnoxious and i actually like the sound of termi but this was rediculous., no wonder states are passing laws against it.

Two problems with leaving the baffles in:
1) How will 696rider know I'm home if he doesn't hear me as I burn down 4th St NW?
2) Quiet pipes interfere with my plan to decrease the number of cages on the road by setting off their alarms every chance I get.

Thanks, I don't think it's as loud as the termis on my 620, but the engine braking snap, crackle, pop is beautiful! You should come out and ride with us this morning.

Obviously, you're confusing snap, crackle, pop with a home-style Howitzer.
