So that Autopia link (above) has a link to a specs PDF
http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/autopia/2010/11/MY11_Diavel_Tech_Spec_EN_IT_v05.pdf

There's two versions listed. Regular and Carbon. The only differences I can spot in a quick skim are different wheels, 14 spoke for regualr and 9 for the Carbon and the the difference in the claimed dry weights at 463 and 456 pounds respectively.

Looks like both are getting all the electro whiz-bangery:
"Tank mounted instrumentation with TFT colour display:
Gear selected, air temp, battery voltage, trips 1 & 2, fuel
reserve trip, average and actual fuel consumption and speed,
trip time, scheduled maintenance. Full status and/or
management of Riding Modes, DTC, RbW and ABS."

Another thing to note is that they are listed as two seaters... must be able to pull off the rear cowl, and I remember seeing some spy shots that appeared to have fold out passenger pegs. *Edit - they pegs are pretty easy to see if you look at the photos from Milan

hmmmm

based on the seat/handlebar position, looks like they jazzed up the ST quite a bit

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

needs a dry clutch conversion kit in the parts catalog so we can one-up the cruiser dudes with more shiny spinning parts.

doesn't look "heavy" to me for what it is - looks like a mid-400 to 500 lb ride. i feel like you guys forget that the 748 series weighed a TON in biposto trim. the ST series weighed a sh!t-ton (metric unit).

It's a cruiser, an ugly one at that IMO but 500lbs is more than reasonable in weight.  He'll I'd hate to tell all of you what my Harley weighs.  Wink

The 'light weight' XR1200 tics in at 573 in running order, an Electa is 940+ and a night rod is 676 in running order...

That thing is seriously ugly. The front end intakes and radiator cover literally look like they were just bolted on after thoughts. There is no flow to that bike whatsoever. The "trellis" frame is a joke...nothing is symmetric or even. The angle of the tail doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the bike. The cowl around the headlight is just lame looking.

Cruiser or not, I'd admit it if it was a good looking bike. It is not. The RSD version was very cool looking, but geez it had a lot of mods looking at this!

Here's another view. It defintely looks better in black above.

...and people thought Terblanche's designs were ugly.  Roll Eyes

I have to say it is quite ugly. I think the next bike will be an 1100 if it comes with ABS and new engine.

There are a few things on this bike I do like;  The rake of the front, and the tail.  If I were to buy it, I would definitely have to have a plan to mod away the air scoops and the mufflers.  Maybe see some straight pipes off the back and the tank panels from the newer monsters.  If it has a squishy suspension it would be perfect for my slab commute.   laughingdp

I still like it.  In the black, just not in the red.  Those silver scoops and headlight look out of place.  Maybe if they were black or maybe red, even though I think that may be too much red.  Can't wait to see how people mod it once they get their hands on it.

It's got potential. Similar to the monsters it needs a shit-ton (metric unit  Grin) of modifications to make it look cool.
