Will a Sport Classic 1000 front fender work on a Monster?  If so, has anyone done it?  Any pictures?

It will fit, but if I remember correctly the plastic mounting bands are different.

The Monsters have the nut incorporated in the plastic mounting bands, and the SC has the nut incorporated in the fender (metal part).

A while back I installed a SS fender on a SC, and remember having to add nuts to the back of the stock SC plastic mounting bands.

Dunno age of forks but should be 2000 or newer.

Very tasty mod IMHO.

That looks tasty! I was thinking of using the one with the single bracket that runs over the top of the the fender in mounting. I was only concerned with the width of the sport classic fender...looks like a fit!

Trav, I think I still have the stock fender from my Sport1000, if you would want to try and mock it up.

I'd love to try it.

BTW I rode my Monster yesterday it felt pretty strong. I'm not supposed to take it over 5-6 grand for a while, but it pulls very strongly up to that point. I can't wait to see what it will look like on the dyno.

Sorry, my mistake. But do look pretty good anyway, like the alu fitting.

Just so you know, a GT1000 IS a Sport Classic.  But so is a Sport1000.  Sport Classic only refers to the model line, not a specific model.

If you haven't looked, there are a few SC fenders on ebay right now for decent prices.
