Reading Ultimate Motorcycling on the plane today and an article was profiled on Ducati's AMA Pro Flat Track racing where the XR750 Harley's have been exclusive (I know rules and all but this is not about Harley).  They go on to talk about the new Multi 1200 which won Pike's Peak and it was shipped to Dynojet's R&D center in Las Vegas to custom map the bike with a PC V.  I have been told time and time again that the voltage irregularities on the Duc are NOT compatible with PC's.........well then why did they tune the Duc with one?  I had one my S2R with NO problems and am now considering one for my S4R.  I've had them on all my bikes for which one was made and love them.

Me and my M1100 love its PC5     These "voltage irregulatities"...  who speaks of them?

It is not like the PCIII is connected directly to the battery or the VR, it gets its power either from the TPS or injector pulse current fed by the FI ECU.

I've got a couple of buddies with s4r's running PC with no problems. The only problem I know of is some ecu's run a closed loop portion of the fueling map that the PC cannot edit. But there are ways around this.

No issues with my PCIII. Only issue I've heard is a guy on a Multi and I think that was more with the tech that mapped it. I think the tech has little experience with the PC.

I'd think if you were very concerned about voltage issues, you could rig a regulator chip to supply 9V from a switched fuse and feed it to the PC III through the white connector.  No FHE on the PCV.

the voltage issue came from a mechanic who is very fond of Ducati.  I don't care, gonna spring for one and have my trusty guy install and map.  just thought I'd ask and solicit opinions.
