it's pretty self explanatory.  Use an allen wrench, take the bolts off from the stock one, remove the stock ones. Put the aftermarket ones on, and use the same allen wrench to put the bolts back in.

The vertical cover may require removing the tank to slide out.

i figured i had to remove the tank skin, but i have to move the tank as well? oh well, i'll get started and look at it once i get home...

You may need to.  I haven't done it on a 696, but the 1100 required lifting the tank alittle.

Once the skins are off, it's 2 bolts, and the tank comes right out. Don't need to disconnect the lines, pump, etc, just lift enough to slide the cover through

or better yet providius can buy a set for everyone. did he ever make good on those mirrors ;)

with that said, first 100 people get their choice of rizoma or dp carbon timing belt covers!  [laugh]

on a more serious note, recently installed mine.  I had to remove my tank to install it.  Wasn't too bad to remove the tank.

So because someone has the same timing belt  they totally match ?

You do realize there are only three option for timing belts

Also remind me again what type of jap bike you have ? FF
