Monster 696 / 796 / 1100 Fender Extender NOW AVAILABLE !

Hi all,

Some of you will probably be aware that since Feb 2009 I've been on a crusade trying to source a fender extender for my 696. Well I've had a big problem cos no one made one - simple!

Well from today that's all changed. Pyramid Plastics in the UK have just finished designing one and have it in production. It will be available end of Nov / Dec priced at £16.99 A cheap price to pay to save your paint and electrics.

The good news is that it will also fit the M1100 and 796.

Part No is 055040 and Pyrmaids number is (0044) 1427 810473 - ask for Dave.

Good to see you over on this side of the pond  . You should visit us more often....  much more going on around here for Monster owners than back over there in the Chapel of Rest  .

Make sure you share this vital information with Jim Shea... he might even trade his Gelanderfahrrad now that a new monster just got all practical  .

The one that you found a link to Bill is for the old type monsters, from what I can gather Banus has posted on the UKMOC forum and has quoted the part no. 055040 for the 696-796-1100 new style monsters... [moto]

Quite by chance I saw an advert for a Pyramid fender extender for a 796 Hyer M on e bay. So I called Pyramid Plastics to see if would fit the M696 as it looked like a smilar profile. Dave said "No" but by pure coincidence they'd (that day) just finished designing one for the 696 and had just put into production and would be ready by late November / Dec. I ordered one there and then.

It's so new that there's no link / image yet but I'd imagine that it'll just look like a bog standard Fender Extender - nothing special but it'll do its job.
