143 kg
60 hp / 40 ft lb torque
500 cc EFI single

Would you put $1000 down for one? (and purchase for about 7k?)

Yeah, just saw that. Probably not now.

I agree with Paper, for that price I'd go the 748, 996 route.

I think 7k is the highest it could go for.

What about 5500?

Someone will make one if enough ppl are willing to prebuy.

This was a prototype before and they decided to put a Hyosung twin in the Mito chassis instead and manufacture it in India. The first prototype toured the US with the Cycle World motorcycle show. They set it up and asked people to fill out a survey to gauge interest. After the project changed to a Hyosung twin, I think everyone lost interest. But when it toured the show, they received tons of feedback that said, build it and I'll buy it. I know a few people including me, that wanted to race it.

So where did this pop up? Who is claiming to build it again? I call B.S. Tongue Fool me once, shame on you...

I'm really excited for the RC4, if it ever actually goes into production. Supposedly, this project has been shelved indefinitely. The RC4 has been a prototype for at least 3 years. It was first a KTM single in a Mito chassis, then they played around with chassis design and I guess have come up with this:

What he said. I told the show guy a few years back that if they built it, I'd buy it. Interest appeared to be very high for the little sports single. Then they completed make the beast with two backsed it up by going with that crap twin cylinder mill and everyone (including me) lost interest.

Got a used KTM Duke II to satisfy my need for a sport single. But I'd rather have had this bike it its promised form.

Used is always cheaper.

The closest equivalent bike today (KTM Duke 690) is over 10K, so 7K for a semi-equivalent bike (down about 10 HP) seems reasonable or at least as equivalently overpriced as the competition.
