Why not the evo stealth...it's cheaper and more badass
and that is a crazy cheap CBR...i'll be buying three tomorrow
that's the 2010 cbr msrp. 2011 not released. Will probably be the same.
I really never noticed that the R6 was so damn cheap though... probably why I see so damn many.

Using that chart, compare with the 848 EVO "Dark" - its a grand cheaper, and all "real features" are the same.
The Japanese bikes MSRP's in the US are actually higher than most of us realize, but very few of them are sold near that price. Hasn't everybody been in a GJB dealership and seen the litre bike class marked down below $10k? They bring in so much inventory that they can sell last years models this year (every year) at "deep discounts", still turn a buck, and have customers throwing money down daily.

but they've also raised the prices for next year. i'm curious what the "street price" is going to be.

looks the shits but i hate the ergonomics of the bike.
what do people dislike about the ergonomics of these? Are they too "aggressive"? Because, if so, I personally think a 996 is comfy
How much more aggressive can it be?

I found the one I had to be a touch more aggressive than say an 848/1*98. I could still get comfy on it though, and could spend multiple hours on it without feeling like a pretzel.

am i the only one that would still rather have an 848?
Nope. And I have the 848. After having a GSXR750 at one time the 675R would be my first choice after the 848. (I might add that my 848 has been modded enough that it's almost nothing like a stock version [moto])
The ergonomics of the Daytona aren't all that bad. I'm 6' & almost 60 yrs old and I've spent a few hours on the 675. No problemo.

Na i still think a 996 fits perfect
it's very awkward for me, i don't think it's something easy to explain it just doesnt feel right for me.
I'm 6'0 if that helps

Giants have been known to have trouble riding sportbikes.
Normal sized people (<6', I'm 5'7") will probably find the 675 more comfortable. I have only been on an 07 675 for less than an hour, but I doubt the ergos have changed much with the 2011. I am used to riding the 696 so I found the 675 uncomfortable at first due to the different riding position. I'm sure I'd get used to it after a few hundred miles though.

Do you need a step ladder to get on the 696?

As a matter of fact
NO
the 696 suits me perfectly. The HM1100 and Multistroodle however are built for the freakish giant race of humans and as a result I
cannot
will not ride them.
(damn giant freaks)

I'm just giving you shit for the sake of it. I'm not much taller myself 5'10''
I do feel pretty cramped on a 696, though. I do not imagine it would be particularly comfortable on an extended ride. The S2R1K with the added height of the Sargent seat and the maxed out rod is just right.
