So the power went off at my office today because of the heat and we all got to leave early.  I came home did some chores then decided to play a little GTAIV, only to be thwarted in my pursuit of entertainment by the dreaded 3 red rings on my xbox.  This happened a few weeks ago but I let the console sit for about 10 minutes and then it was fine, this time 3 hours later and it still won't work.  I had to call Microsoft and now I have to ship my console away for 2 to 3 weeks to get repaired.

I have a original release one. I keep that puppy on 24/7. Never had any problems

I'm on my 3rd Xbox after the first 2 died of red ring fever.

I will give Microsoft credit, they replaced both mine without any fuss.

But seriously, I have been going out waaay less since I got my ps3.  Fri nights roll along and what does this single 28 yr old do?  Play call of duty 4 for a couple of hours    <-- It's funny because it's sad and true

 ugh, just got done playing 4-5 hours...I need to get a life 

If I keep this up, pretty soon my moonwalking chewy will forget what it was like to go into hyperspace

we haven't played our original xbox in over two years... i don't even know if it still works 

even debated adding it back into our system when we rewired last year

The rep I spoke to at Microsoft was pretty cool.  We joked around a bit about the guy that had his autographed xbox scrubbed clean by M$.  They're sending me a shipping box by UPS and then I have to ship my console back. 

Looks like I'll have some time to plow through my Amazon wishlist.
