I'm pulling the rotors off my S2R 800.  I have a Torx bit that feels just a little loose in the bolt head and want to make sure I use the correct size.  T-40???

i remmeber it was T40 as well. Do yourself a favor and buy an impact driver. Even if you dont think you need it, buy it and use it.

TRUST ME ON THIS. Either you're going to say "He man was full of shit" or youre going to say "make the beast with two backs HE WAS RIGHT".

better u hate me for wasting $15 of your dollars then you hating yourself after spending countless hours trying to remove a stripped bolt.

Got one HeMan!  Had it for years, and it gets used around brake components that have rusted tight.  I recall hearing a war-story from Duck-Stu about him and Speedog working on rotor bolts...I'm ready!

Definitely T40, and use a decent quality one, too.  Impact helps a lot, as does plenty of heat to soften the loctite.

Me thinks I better order a set of new bolts.

Heman:  Impact driver (hit with a hammer) or impact wrench (air driven)?

Never needed to use an impact driver on all the rotors I've removed, although they've all been garaged bikes of a '05 or later vintage.

No Al.  I wouldn't use SS unless you can get A4 or better.  99% of the SS is A2 and is too weak.

Steel Alloy 10.9 or 12.8 bolts are the best
