My S2R800, The Crate, looks on as I prepare the bits and pieces to convert it to my own personal S version. S2R1000 front brakes (rotors, calipers, mc, lines), S2R1000 adjustable Showas, Sachs adjustable rear shock from a S4RS (shock and forks getting new springs). Some modeling skill required, but I have that covered too. This is the beginning of a project that has been inspired by DuckStew and his work, along with all of the excellent bikes posted by other members of this forum. It's all your fault you bastards. The plan, as if there is anything remotely like one, will include different color wheels, colored swing arm, assorted anodized bits, etc., and probably a new overall color scheme.

Are you using the 800 calipers? I already did the same fork update, but want to know if I can upgrade the rotors without having to dump too much money on calipers and master cylinder.

Sounds like he is using the whole front end of a s2r1000 but will have it sprung for his weight.

No, the stock 800 calipers are coming off. If you intend on keeping the stock calipers and MC, your choices for rotors are limited to aftermarket, like Galfer etc. FYI, I purchased the mc, lines and calipers for $175, and the rotors for $90 pair. The rear shock is brand new and cost me $175. All on eBay.

You might want to consider getting a second fork.

I'm getting a feeling of deja vu all over again. Be sure to paint those calipers gold. Most of the improvement in swapping from 2 pot to 4 pot calipers is actually due to the colour, not the extra pots (or the extra 20mm of rotor).
