The chance of Bruce Lee winning a ping pong match against a Pro player ( with nunchucks), is about as close to he would win an MMA match.  :D

If Lee was alive in this era of MMA I have no doubt he would be a contender. In fact, the style or philosophy he created (Jeet Kune Do) is considered one of the first modern "mixed" or hybrid martial arts. He took what was good from several fighting system and dropped what didn't work. JKD is a mixture of Kung Fu, boxing, fencing, Judo, grappling, etc.

Bruce Lee started modern MMA. There is a reason he is called "The Father of mixed martial arts."

And the ping pong stuff is all fake.

may I ask why Nokia attached their name to the video then? Fake or not, I was very entertained. Maybe it is not fake and he WAS THAT GOOD ?

the funny thing is that bruce lee might have made the primitive mma back in the day in a way.

But his whole philosophy would steer away from the modern MMA the sport since he viewed some of the other martial arts as going the sporting route, like judo and tae kwon do, and he viewed them as not being the best combat style since they were geared for a different purpose.

Modern MMA like UFC is a "sport" in that there are rules of competition, Its not a street fight, and that would go against the whole JKD way of doing things which from what i read is supposed to be a pure combat fighting style. 

I would say JKD is the predecessor of something like Krav Maga that is used for combat not sports at all.
