Ah, MoGo, land of the camera.

Keep an eye on the ride thread, as it's a rolling discussion, as is the meet up thread.

Best of luck getting some play time before it get really too cold.

He's from Jersey, the land of the speedtrap lol

You'll find MD to have a similar approach to traffic as Jersey -- that it's another revenue source.

Bull, it's nothing compared to DC. I really believe cops spend more time generating revenue than anything else.

And welcome to the forum, this is how we roll Wink

When the feds raised the national speed limit from 55 to 65, New Jersey said no because they got too much ticket revenue from speeders used to going 65 in other states.

People freaked out, voted some people out, and finally the state legislature raised the limit, but only after changing the law allowing localities to DOUBLE fines if you are speeding in a 65 mph "zone."

If you get pulled over on the tpke, expect to get a full car inspection too.  light out?  $75 fine, tag obscured?  $120 fine.  i've talked to people who get pulled over for speeding and walk away with $800 in fines from a single stop.

I decided to stalk him and checked out his other posts. Sounds like he picked up a M796! Maybe he'll let me break it in for him? Grin

Did you get ABS, YesMan?

Yep.  Donnie had one or two on the floor the last time I was out there.

Yeah I got a 796, with abs, Maryland tags, No temp VA tags. Yeah the speed cameras are a new thing for me, In Jersey they tried to put up speeding cams, people freaked out, did the same thing with HOV lanes. We make the cops work for their speeding ticket money.

People freaked out here too, so they did the typical thing: claim it's to "protect the children" and so they're only near schools. Except just about everywhere is near a school. Luckily they do have to list them and put up "speed camera" signs so you know they're coming. Besides, you're helping the folks a Raytheon rake in the dough, and isn't that what it's all really about?
