Luck might benwith us this coming Saturday with a new baby to the stable.  This will be wife's bike mostly but we are modding on a budget since we anticipated purchasing something early 2011.  Need the following so offer up suggestions pls:
Clutch pressure plate n cover
Exhaust
Ride height adjuster
And anything else you guys can throw at it.

If you have anything like this for sale I'd also consider it

Thanks all

Power is not much different than the S2R 800 you used to have, but if you must, look for a G2 Ergo system to soften early delivery and still be able to get to full by the end of the stroke.

If you can find some Sil-Motor pipes, I really am happy with the quality of mine (if you are looking for slipons). I also have the Sil Motor Equal-Length headers, and those or the Spark version are a bit spendy and more for top end power. My pipes are actually the Sil-Motor/NCR titanium variety, but the regular sils are excellent as well.

Leo Vince has good quality and come in very affordable materials (aluminum or stainless besides carbon or titanium).

Talk her into conicals so you have something different, and look at the Frescos. They look good in the pictures fo' sho'.

I'm a fan of key-less gas caps too - and they aren't that expensive.

Motowheels has all the tail-chop, bar riser, and other doodads you could want I figure.

I'd rather raid your garage for parts.......BUDGET remember.  Grin

I have been looking for exhaust but she wants the clutch vented first so I might start studying on how to core stock cans in the meantime.

I guess the suggestions/solutions all depend on the budget...

modding on a budget...

Exhaust

...
I'm in a similar situation, and the "Parts For Sale" section here has been my saviour.  I think there's still a set of damaged CF low-mounts would would work on the '02 900 available there... some saw work, a little sandpaper, etc... I toyed with this idea as a winter timewaster, but 1) wifey is p.o.'d that UPS keeps brining me packages and she hasn't been to Vegas yet, and 2) I've gotta save up until I can do something about this non-adjustable front end.

I also picked up a stock clutch cover that I'm still planning to carve up this winter... that, a coat of gloss black on the stock pressure plate, maybe a $20 set of stainless springs and $20 ano caps from any of our board sponsors, and presto!  Schweet open clutch set-up.

Good luck!

$700 for the wish list but the exhaust will take up the majority I know.

I'm cruising Ebay and the for sale section like a pile of termites digging their way home but haven't found any clutch parts.  Cry  The exhaust may be too much work, the ones I found here, unless the heel plate covers the damage because I'd plan on clear coating the carbon.
