NewB question.  If I run the exhaust with only the udder, do I have to upgrade the ecu?  Also, can I disconnect the o2 sensor?   I read somewhere that it's not needed.  It's pretty loud in my garage just blipping the throttle!   What necessates the ecu reflash/upgrade?   An airbox mod with the udder only exhaust?

I ran udder-only for a while.  The shop tweeked my bike a little, but I didn't need any other mods or upgrades.  I can't tell you if I lost or gained anything.  The 800 isn't exactly a powerhouse.  Ran just fine, but loud and pointed right at you.

Do you live in an area where aftermarket exhausts are not allowed? Some states require the cans have the EPA number hard stamped on the cans.  Therefore you could fire your stockers and run I new mid pipe.

That's the way I have done it.
