Ya, wait for some heavy rain to wash away the salt. Then you have to look out for left over sand and run off.
Do an out and back on the same road or loop to check it out. Wash your bike anyway.
With that, I'll ride year round 40 deg. plus ( no ice thank you ).
My first two years on a streetbike were year round. Snow and ice, sideways dragging feet. 15.5 yr. old idiot.
Layer up !  I snowboard in neg 20. I use the same gear to ride. Balaclava and Gore-tex is good.
Mid 40's this weekend, no salt on the south coast ( Ma. ) I'll be out. Only problem is Pirelli Diablo Rosso doesn't like the cold.
Sideways dragging feet.

Went for a ride yesterday around town and out to MotoMarket. Pleasantly surprised by the number of bikes there.

I think I'm going to winterize the Monster but keep riding the Multistrada until the road is snowed/iced. :)

I went out for a ride yesterday.  It was about 40 degrees so the heated vest was nice.  It was a pretty short one -- long enough to get it warmed up so I could change the oil.  When I got back I got the oil changed, put in the stabil, fogged the engine, pulled the battery, put it in the garage and covered it.  Can't wait for spring.

0 yesterday.

It's officially cold!

I was done after the kank ride.

jc.cyberdemon

well i took her out today as the sun was out and was about 35 degrees.
was pretty comfortable and didnt feel cold. It snowed a little last night
but the roads were clear and dry. so i really cant say when i will be done riding,
every time the sun peaks out i have to hop on and get that "one last ride" in
before i put her away.

I ride year long. With the snow storm last week I ended up not riding since from 12/24 until yesterday and today again. I don't have a garage which sucks. I don't winterize - just ride. I need to get access to the battery to connect heated gear like i have on my VFR, otherwise my hands freeze on longer rides under 40degrees. It was warm today (I think 53), but there was still wet roads with slush which made my back tire skip every once in a while... not pleasant. ATGATT of course..
