"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

is that a Lotus Cortina? Circa around 1965? [thumbsup]
That's exactly what it is...

the one in the pic is a '66 MK I.

The most fun 4 cyl car I've ever driven...

except for maybe an Elan. ;)

I'll be satisfied to see my Chevelle just move under it's own power one day.

I've always been a fan of early 70's pickups.

Of  course they would need to be done up for performance.

Oh and also, I'm not sure if it qualifies as vintage but I would like to reward my '77 Wagoneer by making it run again after it's finished with it's current mission of holding up a section of wall and roof in part of my garage. I envision a Cummins going into it, no clue how difficult it would be as it's only a silly idea in head at the moment and like most ideas of mine may never hit the ground as reality.

another one I wish I still had... [bang] [bang] [bang]

this is my headbanger.  parked in front of my aunt's house the day i bought it from her estate.

had 20,000 original miles on it in 1984.  original tires.  inside was cherry.  garaged the while time, it was just dusty.  sigh.. wrapped it around a telephone pole and ended up in hospital for a month.

I wish I had this truck back:
Blew the engine and ended up having to sell it for $250!

Car I have always dreamed about having :

This would go along with living in the bay area, and driving it down PCH every other weekend.

Back in the old days, my high school girl friend had one of those Ford van trucks posted in the OP - that thing was one scary ride.  Three obtainable vintage dream cars of mine are:

1934 DeSoto Airflow

1967 El Dorado

1972 Porsche 911s

My 1967 Jeepster Commando.  It's one I'd always wanted and then I was able to pick this one up for $800 with a fresh rebuild on the original 225 V6, new tires, and a half tank of gas.
