My brother is in the process of building one. I hope he finishes it before either of us die (it's taking forever).

That's been on my list since I was a kid. 30-40k can build you a really nice one.

Not terribly vintage, but I've always lusted after a 1993 Mustang Cobra R

But, most of all, THIS:

[evil]

The Tipo 33 was my wall paper for like 2 years.  Something about that car is just so F'n sexy, though I prefer the one with 2 lights inside the bubble.

I know someone who owns one, and I have touched it.   [drool]  This was about 12 years ago and I think he paid 850K for it.  Only 13 in the world.

I prefer the dual headlight version also, but this was such a pretty picture, I didn't search further.  Now they go for around $1,197,964.56. (750,000.00 British Pounds Sterling)

I need to change my pants again...   [drool]

Is there a vintage bike version of this thread somewhere?

Other than the first one, see a trend?   8)

Yes, you can't read the thread title...  :P

I guess instead of Supercar, I should have also said something like and not some crazy-expensive or crazy-rare car.  I posted that Ghia but I didn't realize just how rare they were... :-/

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Indeed. This was supposed to be stuff the (mostly) average goon can afford.

Or at least save up and have a weekend project show queen.

I couldn't afford either of the ones I posted. [laugh]

I can read the title just fine. These are my dream vintage cars.  Emphasis on DREAM.  The only exception I could see is maybe the Tipo 33 Stradale could be construed as a super car, but there weren't enough made to warrant that claim.

Instead of dream car, you could have wrote " Car you'd like to have without spending too much money to purchase/fix up in your spare time."

In that case, I'll take a 1987 Prelude 2.0Si, 5-speed in black. ;)

Sorry to have upset your applecart...

Hence my qualifier "mostly".  :)

My absolute DREAM list is completely unrealistic also.  ;D

Are you whining?  :P [laugh]

I'm sorry...

I have the right to remain silent, but not the ability. :-*

Nah, I think the whiner is the one who was whining about me not being able to read the thread title. [roll]

I was just clarifying my response...  ;)

Apparently I don't have the ability to shut up either...   8)

The whole thing goes to perspective.

He's a lawyer...they dot I's and cross T's...can't help it. ;)

We're just a couple of mooks that have dreams.

It's all good.

1973 Dodge Challenger...with a 440 of course.

My dad had a built one when I was young, and I still remember riding in it. He figures it had something like 500hp...maybe more. He hit a curb and folded the front tire underneath it...it was never the same after and he ended up selling it.  :'(
