Earlier this year a Brough Superior brought $200,000.00 at auction.

This was at Deals Gap the last tim I was there.  Yes, he really rode it on the gap and 28.

Nah I didn't mean it to come across that serious.

Its open to fun misinterpretation.

But I did envision more common production cars rather than exotics.

Carry on.

Nate,  you are baiting me.  I will retaliate.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Indeed. This was supposed to be stuff the (mostly) average goon can afford.

Really?  I missed that part.

Hell, I can't afford what I currently own.

Someone already posted and Alfa GTV,  so I present a few further down my list of faves.

Datsun 510.  Nissan's answer to BMWs coupes.  Simple lines, great proportions.  Only with 4-spoke mags or Minilites.

I will always remember the first one of these I saw in person.  A family friend bought one and brought it over to show my dad.  I couldnt believe it was Japanese (back when 510s looked like BMWs and Celicas looked like Mustangs  ;D)

The proprietor of my local hobby shop owned one of these.  Interesting history...still more of an exotic than a realistic vintage car, but I think it's gorgeous.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

ive had 2 N/A and 1 Twin turbo and hated getting rid of them when i moved to hawaii... 20 years old is almost vintage right?
it is so much easier to get forgiveness then it will ever be to get permission.

Speedbag

In MN, 20 years old means it's eligible for Collector plates.

So yeah, I think two decades of existence makes it vintage.

not because it is my dream, but more for nostalgia and memories...I'd love to own a stock yellow 75 Toyota Celica ST, as my Dad had one for years and years and I used to sit on his lap and he'd let me steer and drive it....one of the few times and situations in my life where I actually felt connected to my father...
