I know it's a touch early, as Veterans Day isn't until tomorrow, but as it is a holiday and hope many of you won't be stuck at a computer, I figured I'd start now.

So, to all the Vets, and to all those folks who will be veterans in the future - Thanks

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Seriously- thanks for defending our freedom and making it possible to live such, easy lives.  I've been thinking a lot lately of how bad the rest of the world has it and not only do you keep our lives awesome but put your lives on the line to make the whole world a better place.

I am in the middle of reading "The Forever War" by Dexter Filkins and it gives a whole new level of appreciation to what service members have gone through in the last decade over there. It is a great book and I recommend it.

Thank you for all your sacrifices !

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.

They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
...
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
