Hello all,  I have been working out of town for a while, so i have some time in the evenings. So i was on fleaby and bought a DP ECU from a dealer a couple of months ago. I went home for the weekend and installed it and started up the bike and the first thing i noticed its in metric, Im old skool american. so i take the bike out of the parking lot and open it up only to see the rev limiter wack me on the wrist @ 9,250 rpm's .I thought it was supposed to raise rpm's to 10,500? It does say ducati racing when I turn on the key. Did I miss something any info would be great and Thank you all in advance for any info

I have the termi kit and Race ecu on my 696.  I don't get 10,500rpm in any gear.  The limiter kicks in around 9,500 in 1st and 2nd.  8,700-9k in 3rd and 4th.  Don't know in 5th or 6th.

I wish I could get 10,500.

I don't see much reason to run these motors to 11K, but I tried a couple of times and my rev limiter never even makes it cough. Right up through 11k it runs perfectly.  By the way, things are gettn' really busy on a Ducati at 11 thou, thou thousand.....  rpm.

ECUs always fire up in EU mode as default.  To set it to US mode follow obsidian gt's directions >>  http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=41934.msg764266#msg764266

My dash is metric but I'm up in Canada and that's the way we likes it up here.

What's this mile people keep referring to??  :P

Some believe that the original measurement of the English foot was from King Henry I, who had a foot 12 inches long; he wished to standardize the unit of measurement in England. Though there are records of the word "foot" being used approximately 70 years before his birth,[29] ;D

Beats me too :-\

Twelve Inches in One Foot..
Three Feet in One Yard...
and my personal illogical favourite.....  1760 Yards in each Mile....   [laugh] [laugh]

And the even stranger thing is that these wacko measurements pre-date Monthy Python by centuries.
