After agonizing the past  several days about 796 vs 1100 and what color, I made a deal at noon today on a new 2009 1100 monster...RED.  I got tied up at the office this afternoon and couldn't pick it up....but Saturday is looking pretty nice so I think I'll be able to bring it home on Saturday.

I think I'll like it....it looks cool!

Schweet! I was at the local Ducati shop today and drooled over the 1100. They have left over 2009 and wanted to strike a deal. I resisted... For now. What did you end up paying? My salesman said he could do $9900 out the door. Somehow that didn't seem right to me.

congrats.  be sure to change the front sprocket from a 15 tooth to 14 tooth, she will behave a thousand times better around town.  Also take off all the frame stickers and the bicycle reflectors.  [coffee]

+1 I wouldnt even bother riding it out of the dealer's with the stock 15t front - get em to chuck a 14t on prior to delivery.

This just makes an Australian wanna cry  :'(   You can get TWO M1100s for what we have to pay.  How much could it cost to air freight one to Australia?  $1500??  $2000??

those new 1100 are sweet bikes, i think they are even better than the new evo that is coming out, much better looking exhaust on the 09 and 10 models than the new evo.
