i'm home too
after accident-interrupted ... YET AGAIN ... 4th session, i called it a day. when i was leaving at the begin of session 5, 8 bikes in total went down. absolute carnage. in one session 2 bikes went down in a yellow group; on a first and on a last lap. all that was telling me to quit while i'm ahead

had a fantastic day, chat with a guys, Paul wiped the track with me  Shocked but it didn't matter ..... it was FUN day and that all that matters
any future mid-week track days ... i'm in

Paul was wiping the floor with most people out there today Rob so don't feel bad.
I kinda felt like riding today, shame I didn't have full leathers on I could have bought Jukies spot.

This is how my morning started.

Well I got back a little while ago too.

With the 4th session cut in two (about two laps each for me) and the fifth session cutback (I s'pose to make up time) I bailed early too. Nice trip home up the old road Evil

Thanks to the two Steve's for grabbing the garages ... thanks to Paul & Rob for being gentle when tearing past that wanker on the 999 ... thanks to Vince for the tips (no she didn't perform any better on the grass) ... and thanks to Matty & Craig for photographic duties.

yep agreed a good day out and a good reminder on the track not to ride beyond yourself ....specially later in the day as concentration drops....as they always say if you go out looking for your limits...you WILL find them.....hope the MV is back to its best soon steve...........and as always great to catch up with everyone.........certianly beats a day at work    laughingdp laughingdp laughingdp

It seems JPM has taken on board some of my photography tips ... it's easier to shoot an almost staionery object laughingdp even featuring more than once in some sequences Embarrassed

Mate, I unloaded it, stripped it down ready and some bloke dumped his bike on turn 5 (or 7) and waited around for about 45 min before they got going again. I got the shits with all that had happened so I took it as a sign and packed up.
The thought of binning the monster with the track bike sitting in the trailer would of been a disaster.

Sorry to hear about the bike troubles, tricolore.  Cry

I heard about the accident - some fellow highsided it on T7 apparently, and broke his pelvis. Because the track day wasn't fully booked out, they'd only paid for one ambulance, which is why there was a 45 min wait while the one unit carted old mate to the hospital and returned.  boo

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

What ended up being the problem with the MV?.
I have learnt alot in last couple of weeks. I was told by some that to look for bubbles in the tank, that indicates a loose connection in the tank??? Sure enough bubbles there. Took tank apart, carried out thorough inspection of the lines from the pump and found absolutely nothing to suggest there were leaking connections. Noticed the other plastic connector from the return line was loose in the fuel hose so I removed that connector and replaced the plastic one for a metal one. Reconnected the tank and the bike started first go run like a dream. Huh? by this time I am really confused.
Decided to replace the hose connections in the tank as a matter of maintenance and accidentally snapped the outlet connection off the pump  bang head. Very dissapointed I decided to search for a replacement pump, turns out the pump is a very popular model, so popular in fact they stock them at Repco. Replaced the pump, plugged it all in bike starts and runs perfect..... But still bubbles in the tank  boo.
The bubbles are coming from a small hose that is not connected to anything (and isn't supposed to be) I think its a purge lne or something.
Anyway, short answer to your question, I am not actually sure  Embarrassed
Thanks for your help on the day  waytogo, not sure if I thanked you then but it was good to get another perspective on the issue.
