LEO Pulls a stoppie down a flight of stairs

Stairs are pretty simple down (and up as well if you ride trials).  Definately need weight further back going down.

To give the LEO a little credit, the pack on the rack would restrict his ability to shift weight back.

I've touched my ass to the back tire riding down stairs more than a couple of times.

It usually happens at the bottom of the flight with a good bit of speed though.

I'm with everyone else. Rookie MTB mistake.

...and if you can't get far enough back behind the seat (bags, etc.) than get as far back as possible and commit (=fingers off the brakes).

If you're a bike cop, you should be able to go down stairs, up stairs, and all the places in between (wheel chair ramp?)  [laugh]. If you can't....then you're heading to segway cop training  [moto]
