 Cry

It has been some time hasn't it!??

Call today from Wollongong fuzz, bike was located today. Very mixed emotions about it...... I'll find out more in the coming days, but as the suspect hasn't been questioned yet, don't want to say too much. All i can say is that there are some shit humans in this world. Bike was taken, slightly stripped(not much though) and dumped in an innocent parties garage who thought he was looking after a "project bike" for a mate. I say he is innocent of involvement as he actually went to the police rather than the other way around.

Hi Hugh Let me guess they are from Warilla?

Have you been paid out by your insurance company?

Wow that's amazing found this long after it went missing.
Thought it would have been in parts everywhere by now.
I think Hugh was paid out which is how he is now the owner of a new beast "which we haven't seen"

If there is some bike to recover it will go to the auctions I'd say.
Hmmmmm interesting! Auction, S2R 1000

No, it was found in Tarrawanna......Corrimal was mentioned in the story as well....

Matty, exactly, have an s4rs now, but there is a part of me that would like the old one back as well- just don't think it would be smart having two bikes that look almost identical. Tempted though, to the point that i asked the insurance company to give me a call when they have figured out how much they want for it.

In the mean time, i promise to make an appearance in Jan. I have the month off for leave  Grin

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

« Reply #6 on: December 14, 2010, 11:19:51 AM »

Intrigued to know how this one pans out ... 'innocent party', 'mates' and 'project bike' all used in the same sentence.

And to help clarify your thinking ... surely your fiancee would love to be out riding with you on an 'almost identical bike'?

just don't think it would be smart having two bikes that look almost identical

... someone who posted above may have just missed that one ...

Well at least you now have some closure. You won't be sitting in that nursing home thinking "I wonder what happened to my S2R1000?"  Grin

Yeah, in a way though i think i was hoping that it had been put on a shipping container to the mid east. Kind of annoys me now that some dim wit nicked it, realised he couldn't get it started, unbolted a few parts and then dumped it - idiot.

If i get it back will depend on if the insurance company lets me(You can see the obvious problem in allowing paid out owners to buy a stripped bike....), and what the price is...... oh, and the condition...

wow that is pretty wild - I too would be torn as to wanting my bike back - there would be the sentimental attachment, but the fact that some filth has had their grubby hands on it and tainted it.  I too thought it would be parted.

Depending on the $$ the insurance company wants - another person joining BEARS??  [moto]

congrats on the engagement too - an S2R1000 is the perfect way of saying "I DO"  laughingdp
