ab - at least you got the cops to come out.  The lock my car was bashed in.  The radio was stolen out of my car along with a couple other things. Our local PD said someone will call me on Monday to take the report, sorry this happened to you.    Same thing when all the wheels were stolen off my wifes car.
Someone stole my registration sticker and I had an attempted break in on our garage.  I didn't bother calling it in, no use.

I have to point out that the police response here in Santa Maria, CA, is pretty bad.   It took them 4 hours to get here when I was burglarized.   Never heard a thing back from them either.   So as I mentioned, I still look into every open garage that I see.   I've called them when a bunch of idiot gang members decided they wanted to keep doing burnouts in their piece of crap cars in front of the pool here.   It took them over 45 minutes to come, and there were little kids hanging around when these guys were doing their stunts.   And they didn't do a thing, they talk to these punks like they are their buddies.   We've got a very bad gang problem here, along with a really bad illegal alien issue, and the attendant problems related to both,  no drivers license, no insurance, no registration, robberies and burglaries, and the police don't do anything about either.  So, I've come to the conclusion that you can't rely on the Santa Maria Police Department for anything.  It might be time for some high definition cameras, along with an alarm system.

Sounds like your thugs might like the idea of making a video with your security cameras. bang head Especially if they know nothing will come from it. That is unless you are the one to intervene and not the cops. Sometimes that just leads to more problems... unfortunately. Tongue Sorry your neighborhood's in the toilet.

I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.
