Copy of Dremel - any FHE ? ?
«

I love my trusty old Dremel but wouldn't mind a spare for when I go and do maintenance and repairs for a friend who lives on a rural property 10 hours away. To save carting my full tool kit up and down the road over the years I've built up a " remote " kit with el-cheapo stuff.
Bunnings has a copy of the Dremel - has anybody bought and used one of these, Ozitools I think is the brand ?

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Yep I have an Oritz from bunnings and it has been fine. Not that i use it everyday of the week. If i did I'd buy a branded one i guess.

Thanks gents, I'll get one and give it hell while it's in the warranty period.

No, me neither but sometimes nuthin' else will do - like last time I decided to cleanup my noisy dry clutch stack before going out for a day's riding and rounded out the Allen key holes in three of the six little soft bolts holding the spring cups. Was very happy to be able to get in and cut screwdriver slots in those heads with the Dremel and an almost worn out cutting wheel.

Thumbs up for the Ozito Rotary Tool, had a chance to give it a good workout cutting down four 6 mm steel bolt shanks during a motor mower repair.
Not as much power as the real thing, but quite adequate
the locking mechanism and the collet/tool holder are a bit mickey mouse, needed an extra good tighten again after the tool worked itself loose after what I thought was tight enough. OK after that tho
Seemed to generate much more heat, so I HAD to inspect the brushes.........
Tread warily when removing and replacing the brushes, they have a junky springing system
Comes with a useful selection of thingies of reasonable quality, more than what I expected
