so I am really tired of playing split screen in FPS games against my 13 year old son. He simply looks at where I am and then sneaks around it. It's too hard to be a sniper when they can just look to the left. So I thought... tons of cheap ass 360s on craigslist/ebay/gametrader... etc....  couldn't I just buy a second one and hook it to another tv and play via wifi in system link or via an IP Address connected game? I dont want to have to use two separate xbox live accounts to do it.  Anyhow, you all seem to know more than just motos... any help here? My current xbox is hooked into my wireless router... but a second one would need to be wifi as I dont want to run wires to the guest bedroom.

I already know I would need two copies of each game... but that parts easy. Just dont know which games would work and if this method really works or not. We used to do it in college with the original xbox.

First, you don't need 2 copies if you can save the game to the hard drive.

Second, I doubt you could connect through wifi to play through sync. I believe you have to be wired.

The best way to go about it is to save the game on 1 of the 2 boxes, get another XBox Live account for the kid, then setup a private game.

I might be wrong about the wifi since my Xbox can pickup any PC or other device that is connected to my wifi and is compatible with Windows.

[clap] I guess that's a good thing though- not seeing a real gun.

I grew up starting fires, playing with knives and shooting guns.

^ Like wise, but it seems like you hear about more and more shootings particularly with younger kids that should have been earning merit badges or tying knots.

I think you can do a LAN party and just hook up with an ethernet cable. But if you want to play online, you would need a separate account to get on the servers.
