Kids with the chicken pox. (or measles, you just don't see a good case of the measles these days).

Apparently I am the only one out there actually riding in this beautiful weather we have here from November 1st to May 31st. So the only thing people spot is either me, or other, um, things with spots . . . (dang it, did I just somehow insinuate that I have the measles myself?)

I have been riding about twice a week, im going riding today, tomarrow, Sat and Sun. As long as its not raining and im not working im riding. I dont take that long of rides (about 2 hrs round trip) but its still nice to get out.  Lately ive been taking more of a slow paced route, going out from beaverton up to skyline, over to Cornell i think it is, down over to HWY 30, back over to st. johns bridge over to marine drive, over to 1-5 then slab it back to beaverton. The roads in alot of routes i use to take for turns during the summer im trying to stay away from due to slickness. So for now, staying on the main roads or keeping it not too backroads works for me.

Yah, when i went out on Sunday the back roads were wettish and covered with leaves and stuff.  So it was more of a relaxed pace ride but still nice to get out for 2-3 hours.

My coat ripped out and it's out for repair so I won't be riding for the next week or 2.

So, I did Skyline a couple of times on Sunday. I passed a few bikes... what might have been a red monster 620 as I was flying by at one point. Quite a few Buells... none of which would waive back... all the Harleys waived though... and a mom on a Ninja 250 with a 6 year old kid on back. I can see Cierra doing that soon.   Grin

On Sunday I wound up going up to St. johns bridge, over to marine drive then taking that all the way down to 205, then over to clackamas town center then took the back roads to beaverton. I saw one monster, black going down marine drive the other direction. Marine Drive actually kicks ass, i didnt know how far down it went (along ways) at one point i was racing side by side with a jet while the columbia was on the other side. Beautiful ride and no traffic.  Fog though, lots and lots of fog.

Top of skyline... you rose about the fog... and you could see the mountains over the fog... it looked like a blanket of snow as far as the eye could see, with the mountains peeking out over the top and then deep blue skies above... it was cool... damn camera phones suck at capturing it though.

where were you at on skyline? At one point skyline hits cornelius pass road, there you have a choice either go right and go to hwy30, go left and go back to beaverton/hillsboro or go straight then up that hill (to the right) i think that is skyline as well?  Ive gone up there along ways that is fun too.

I can't see taking a 6 year old on the back, I wouldn't trust that he could focus and stay holding on enough. Maybe when he's 10.  cheeky

I have a 6 year old, ive had him sit on the back of my bike just to see if he could reach the foot pegs. Nope, and hes big for his age. I wouldnt take him on it anyway. MC riding is crazy, were all crazy for doing it but i cant stop. Wouldnt feel right to take a kids life in my hands on a bike.
