1994 M900, in red, of course...

« on: January 02, 2011, 11:05:26 PM »

It's a new record... waytogo  And on this note I think that I'm going to retire the 'ticker.  If Spidey ever starts riding again I might start it back up.  Happy 2011.  Ride often; ride safely!   [moto]

M.O.B. 2010 CRASH-TICKER
Crash-free for:
34 days as of 02/03
49 days as of 03/24
52 days as of 05/15
21 days as of 06/06
70 days as of 08/14
50 days as of 09/30
91 days as of 12/31

2009 and all the other years I've been doing this are posted below.

Here we have it!

We didn't have as many accidents as in years past!   waytogo
We didn't have any fatalities this year either.  <whew...>
We did have one major injury crash caused by one rider hitting another, both were members of the board at the time.  The hitter has apparently left the DMF (or at least doesn't post here anymore) and the hittee was still recuperating from a broken pelvis, an inability to go to his job (he's a mechanic), financial issues and depression as a result.  I haven't heard from him in a while and he hasn't responded to my PM's.  Hope he's just been too busy getting back to his normal life.   chug Here's to safe 2010...  [moto]

M.O.B. 2009 CRASH-TICKER
Crash-free on the street for:
15 days as of 01/15
17 days as of 02/02
24 days as of 02/26
70 days as of 05/07
52 days as of 06/28 (2)
71 days as of 09/7
12 days as of 09/19
26 days as of 10/15
75 days as of 12/31

M.O.B. 2008 CRASH-TICKER

Crash-free for:

60 days: 2/28,
6 days: 3/4,
18 days: 3/22,
41 days: 5/5,
5 days: 5/10,
43 days: 6/22,
15 days: 7/7,
21 days: 7/28,
3 days: 7/31,
35 days: 9/4,
20 days: 9/25,
4 days: 9/29,
41 days: 11/9,
52 days: 12/31

The days in red indicate how many days we went without crashing on the street.  Track crashes don't count because, well, if you gotta bin it, doing it at the track is preferable--not encouraged--but better.  The date at the end of the line indicates the last crash-free date of that particular run of days.  I'll have to hunt down the other years that I've done.  It's interesting to see them side by side.  I believe we had at least one death this year.

Here's to a safe 2009.   chug

note the last comment.   laughingdp

The stats:

We had 14 crashes total
We had one guy get mowed down by a crazy dude in an SUV and walk away from it. waytogo
We had two guys crash twice
We had one bike get crashed twice in one week, by the same guy who crashed twice this year laughingdp
We had a number of folks new to the sport have minor crashes
We had one veteran to the sport have a minor crash
We had one bike completely wadded by a still unknown rider
We had one major injury-accident  Sad
We had no fatalities  Smiley

I believe two of these crashes were p.m.'ed to me. I did not post the details at the time and will not do so here. It would be interesting for people to step up and claim their crashes, however. ...maybe link to the thread where they talked about it or use this as an opportunity to finally 'fess up? cheeky (It might be cathartic!) It would also be nice to get my ticker a bit more accurate if it's off, so please correct me if you note an error. Note any other interesting stats in your replies if you like.

Happy New Year! Here's to keeping the shiny side up and a safe 2007.  waytogo

Don't sell yourself short, Michael.  You've still got a high percentage of dick in your riding.  cheeky

Ya thanks 'Bell for all the stats and keeping us maniacs in touch with reality.
And thanks also for saying all those things that need to be said but not from guy to guy without getting the gay on. Like Michael's dick comment. Precious.  waytogo

Btw, in Chinese, Moore, or, "爪子0必要性凶杀," means "long rocket."

Thanks 'Belle...
