My first bike was

Not the actual bike but the same color only faded with a ripped seat and rusty pipes.  After I owned her for a year or so I sold it to a fellow student.  She never road it so I bought it back.  Painted her metallic blue all pretty and custom like all the while she showed her true nature as a piece if shite.  The tranny ate gears.  The spark was bad.  I could never get it to idle properly.  It fouled plugs constantly.   But man, I was a kid and I had a bike, men feared me and women desired me.
