Local Bathurst businesman & Ducati enthusiast, Mr. Rob Theobald has organised the inurgural...

Ducati's at Bathurst, Show and Shine
To be held in Pit Lane of the Mount Panorama circuit.

A show and shine event with Ducatis old and new on parade.

Without specific model categories, awards will be simply based on condition, style and of course sound.

Voting will be made by public choice. The bike with the most votes wins the title of BEST DUCATI. A prize of $200 plus shirt and trophy are on offer. 9 runner up prizes. (Late news... now top 15 bikes receive prize pack)

Come and enjoy this new exciting event at the home of motor racing and listen to the unique sound of the legendary Ducati.

Ducati Owners from all over the the State will decend on Bathurst for the inaugual BEST DUCATI AWARD held in pit lane on the 15th January 2011.

One of the major draw cards for the event is Paul Edwards 1974 750SS green frame from South Australia.
The 750 roundcase is considered one of the most sigificant Classics of all time. The green frame was made famous back in 1972 with an historic 1, 2 finish by Paul Smart and teamate Bruno Spaggiari in the Imola 200 mile race.

Italian engineer Fabio Taglini who designed the round case was way ahead of his rivals in designing a super bike for the future and in 1974 Ducati made just 400 of these greenframe classics available to the public, with only a small number of them coming to Austraila, We're in the presence of royalty with this bike and it certainly will be the centre of attention at the Show 'n' Shine.
Also on display will be the likes of Mike Hailwood replicas, Darmahs, NCRs, Super Sports and the current crop of Monsters, 916's, 888's, and the 750's.

Ducati merchandising of shirts, books, jackets, caps and coffee mugs will also be available.

Check out the Trade stalls by leading aftermarket providers like Carbon Imports & Accessories and Gowanloch's

Entry into pitlane is free and there will be a sausage sizzle $2 and drinks $2, available from midday till 2.30pm.

An outdoor band and 5 star BBQ is planed for the Saturday night with tickets available in pit lane.
