Open air lid - Stock filter or King dragon?

I ordered a cut air lid off eBay cheap (don't have the tools to do it myself and I like to keep all my stock parts) and it came with a "Ducati Performance" KingDragon air filter.  Should I just stick with the stock filter or uses the Dragon?

Anyone know anything about it?

Not sure about the "KingDragon" moniker, but the DP air filter is most likely a K&N unit. Great filter. Be careful using it and the open airbox if you don't have "corrective" fueling in place already.

Yes, like a PCIII.  If you open the lid and/or swap to a higher flowing aftermarket filter you are going to be letting more air.  As a result, your mixture will be leaner than before you got to fiddling.  A little lean will give you a bump in power, at the cost of higher temps.  But this is a dangerous gamble since you're not sure what the right 'little ' is if you just start swapping bits around.   

Too lean and you can cause damage that might be as little as burnt plugs and as bad as holed piston.

I do have a PC3 but I disconnected it temporarily (for better mileage).  I'll set my PC map to air box mod and slip ons when I get home.  Can't afford a proper dino at the moment.

No prob, just as long as you have something extra in place...  You can also add fuel easily on the faceplate buttons as well after you get a map that is "close".
