Anyone know where I could pick up some flanges for a DS1100 motor?  I'm ready to build my exhaust for the 2v SBK project, but need these to start!

Might be able to hack em off of these and go from there...

If I was in NM I'd hack the ends off my stock exhaust and sell em... lord knows the rest of it is toast.

Are the headers/flanges from a 900 the same as what is on a DS1100???

I'm going to go out on a very stout limb and say 'no'.

Seems to me, based on the way the pipes are on my bike, if the OD of the exhaust tube where it mates to the head is the same between the two bikes and the "flange" that holds it in is the same, there shouldn't be any problem in lopping off the ends to make a custom exhaust out of.

From an engineering standpoint... why in gods name would they make either of those two things different between similar engines?

Exhaust port on the DS motor is significantly different from the 900.

900 uses a big cast-iron flange and half-ring parts to hold the pipe in the head.

IIRC, DS uses a captive flange, no half-rings.
