Though I love my 06 S4R, I wanted something that I wasn't so concerned about getting caught in the rain with and wouldn't get so beat up from the roads here in Northern Va.

I had been looking at the Aprilia Dorsoduro since I had my supermoto in Japan the last 2 years.  I watched for the last 6 months for the right price on a low mileage, private party seller.  Last week I picked this up with 1100 miles on it, with 2yr warranty till October 2012.  Previous owner bought it and didn't like it since he was a dual sport rider.

I got it for a steal and am very happy.
I already did the emission canister delete, removed the reflectors and passenger pegs, and did my own tail tidy which still needs to be finished.

Anyway, I hope to get some good riding from it.  Everyone in my shop said I was stupid for buying another Italian bike and it would be a costly bike to upkeep.  I just couldn't see myself riding a DRZ400SM like thy ride...I wanted something different and to stay with an Italian bike.  I would have gotten a 796 Hypermoto, but for 6500.00 I could not say no.

Great bike! I'd love an Ape or KTM supermoto. [moto] Something different, Italian but not Duc Hyper. Like I need another scooter. [bang]

Front wheel probably won't ever be on the ground. Most likely will go through 5-6 rears before replacing the front due to old age and sidewall cracking. [laugh] [moto]

I never got out on any of the rides last fall with my monster....I actually saw a group in MD one Saturday morning near Maryland Dragway / Budds Creek.  I need to get the tank hinge leak fixed now :-\

Of all places Craigslist. Lately it has been crappy on there, but every once and a while I will get lucky on there...found my 2006 S4R Final Edition on there too in Atlanta.

I try to keep it as clean as possible...it is in my den/basement now for the winter.
The roads here are pure garbage....in Atlanta it was another story.

Why do so many Americans bikes have headlights pointed up into the sky ?????It looks ugly and sloppy and obviously wont be much use at night?

I see it here in Thailand on Yanks bikes only ???

??? You have got to be kidding. LOL where did that come from?

Get a lot of 'Yanks' riding motorcycles in Thailand do you? Probably not, but if it irritates you tell your mama to stop riding around on their handlebars.  [cheeky]
