What res does it record in?  Does it need a separate data recorder?  I don't really want to rig up a bunch of wires and whatnot, that and I want to be able to remove and relocate the camera to various places on the bike.

I was looking at something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/camera-mount-for-DUCATI-S2R-999-996-998-1098-749-S4R_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35580QQihZ025QQitemZ380059159982QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Will work with any compact type of camera.

I don't want to sacrifice comfort for a camera, I'm primarily looking for a bullet camera.  This is the one I'm most interested in so far

Not expensive and no data recorder needed

[moto] Bryant - I checked out the Scientific camera & it looks like it is really cool for the price & toughness of the unit.  A 4 Gig memory card will get you about 45 Minutes of video.  VGA @ 30 frames sec. is not great but good enough to see what is happening.  It would be nice if the unit had a remote control so you could turn it off when you knew there was no action to record and yet be able to turn it on discreetly when the LEO's are running you down ( just kidding ).  If the off/on button is easily accesable you might be able to just reack back & turn it off/on.  I only mentiion because it can be mind numbing watching 45 minutes of video to get the 3-5 minutes worth having!

There are still cameras with remotes  that do video & video cameras that have remotes but not for <$150.

Please tell us that you are not going to use this as the exclusive B8 butt cam - like THE DOCTOR does ?!!!! vomit

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

nope, no butt cam.  I think a shot of whoever is on my 6 would be neat.

Maybe later I'll add an arm to move the camera to the side so I can get a shot forward down the side of the bike

Something I found useful when researching a camera for my bike...  Whatever camera you choose, search the interweb (youtube is a nice resource) for posted video created by the actual models you're researching.  Really helped me to eliminate some choices.
