Just bought my 2 tickets over the phone so I have two in the pot!
Asked the guy if they had been selling a lot of tickets and he said "oh yeah!". Hmmm, I'm thinking hard luggage and I wonder if Heli Bars makes anything for the D16RR yet?

I have a question about the T&C's.
"Terms and Conditions
The winner is responsible for all other costs associated with the purchase and award of the prize, including sales or luxury tax, license and registration fees, if applicable."
Does this mean , when I win it, I will have to pay tax on MRRP or $40?

The biggest gotcha is the taxes on the MSRP value. 1/3 of $72,500 = $24K

I can see this kind of bullshit popping up all over the place. It's already law in Denver, CO. Even if you are passing through town from out of state a Denver police officer can right you up for your Termi exhaust. This CA State Senator is one of many bike hating tree huggers in this country just waiting for their 15 minutes of fame.
I have lived through this crap before in the mid 80s when Missouri Senator John Danforth was persuaded by Brian O'Neill with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to sponsor a bill on of the floor of the US Senate that would ban all sportbikes in the US. All of them. They wanted to protect me from myself. They treated sportbikes like "assault weapons" are treated. They are worthless evil tools of Satan and their only existence is to kill people.
They even got 60 Minutes to do a story about all the murderous sportbikes terrorizing the citizens of California by riding fast through the hills outside of LA and crashing, killing and maiming everyone in sight. My aunt saw the show and insisted that my deceased mother (her sis) would want me to get rid of my bikes and never ride again. You can imagine my response.
Good ending though. The AMA went to work on Danforth in a good, professional mannner and convinced him that O'Neill and IIHS were full of bullshit and their stats were made up crap. The good Senator realized he was being manipulated by IIHS and the insurance industry and withdrew the bill and told them to f#@k off. Hopefully some similar good result happens in CA although I don't see the do-gooder State Senator being turned.

Your post was reported as political.
I agree.
Knock it off.
This is your only warning.
