I was going to reply earlier -- SPAIN or ITALY means FOOD.  Both places have amazing cuisine.

Go to Sevilla and see a bullfight if you are up to it.  Lots of stuff to do there, and it's a big country.  It's easy to drive to if you can rent a cheap car.

Jamaica is Awesome .

Great Beaches...

Great Food...

Blue Mountain Coffee ...( best in the World )

Great Rum.....

Warm, Clear blue Ocean.....

If you stay around Montego Bay you can ride a 2 car Train into the center of the Island to the Appleton Distillery for a free tour . a very beautiful ride up and through the Blue Mountains . Leave in the morning and return in time for Supper.

Ocho Rios is a more less touristy area and not near a larger city .

The North side of the Island has some places like Sandals for Couples only.

If you like Sun , Sea , Snorkeling ,and other Water activities , plus Golf , great Eating , River Rafting  and beautiful Scenery you'll love Jasmaica.

How about Argentina?  Its summer down there.... its very inexpensive (even with your be-feebled Greenbacks  Wink)....  and it has some of the most spectacular country on Earth.  Buenos Aires is fun too in a disorganised kinda way  waytogo.

I'm considering Nicaragua for our next big trip. It's a very beautiful place, and much more safe/stable than in prior decades.
