No Monster of my own, but my wife has an '09 696

I finally located one of the Monster-specific DP covers for my wife's 696 (part 96767009B). These are not currently in the parts system. This is the cover that says "Monster" on it and has little ears for the mirrors. If you have a new-style Monster (and stock mirrors), do yourself a favor and see if you can find one of these. The non-Monster-specific cover that's readily available is much less of a custom fit. For us, this was well worth the exorbitant price.

The cover has a snag-resistant outer layer, a buttery-soft IZ_ inner layer, and fits very snugly. It would not work with bar-end or non-stock mirrors, and possibly not with particularly large bar-ends or custom bars. It's definitely a storage cover and not the sort of thing I can picture anyone taking off and putting on for a bike that's being ridden. It's clearly an indoor cover, as I seriously doubt it's water-resistant.

It covers everything except the bottom few inches of each tire. If such a thing matters with a bike cover, it looks really sharp in the barn.

Yeah, I know... pictures. I'll get to it.
