One time, in the old shop building I had this hydraulic bar feeder that wouldn't work right.  Think 18' tubes you push material into and its supposed to push back, feeding material when the chuck opens.

I put some time and some money into it and it still would not work right.

I snapped.

I salvaged useful things from it, took it apart and sawed it into 4' sections so it would fit on a skid.

I put the whole thing on that skid and we took it over to the steel recycler.

It was like 1500 pounds of steel and aluminium.

I got like $450 for it
