Carlos isn't poaching yet ;)

I stopped at the Senator's office because we (all the tenants, my land lord, his/my insurance co) dont get why power isn't back up.

The borough supplies the electric that they buy from penelec. We have no option other than them.

They want Erie insurance to replace the transformer. Erie is saying make the beast with two backs you, your problem. Why aren't you fixing it?

Borough attorneys were on site today alongside borough engineers and electrical engineers from Erie Ins.

This is just a WAG, but I'm wondering if the borough hasn't been so fastidious when it came to inspecting/maintaining those transformers and now they're trying to buy time to figure out what to do.

But that's just me guessing.

Well that makes sense. Maybe an invoice to Penelec for lost income for everyday the electric is out will get things moving...

I swear they're like an HOA.

My landlord was all set to put solar panels on the roof to help offset his electric costs...

Borough found out and passed an ordinance that says you can't have wind or solar power.

Dicks.

There's a place down here in NC called the Denton Farm Park. They're big on agricultural and industrial history, and they have a fully functional stream powered machine shop.

The whole building has a bunch of spinning shafts and belts up in the rafters with drive belts hanging down to all of the lathes, saws, mills, drills, etc.

Maybe you should look into rigging that up as a backup plan for future outages.

;D

That's old school cool right there [thumbsup]

Yeah, it's pretty amazing to watch it all work.

There's also an antique steam press there that was made for bailing cotton. Something like a 200 ton press...
