Utsushi are ornamental sword guards of enormous value.
The video is a short documentary following the fashioning of a faithful replica of a legendary lost Utsushi.
The Utsushi smith is world class: his patience and precision is like nothing I have ever seen.

Wow... those tsuba are amazing. Some of the one's shown in the that book he's flipping through in part one are just amazing.

Wow, that is serious craftsmanship and unbelievable patience. I'd love to be able to do something like that.
