My seat will eventually need a new skin (got a little hole in it that I assume will get bigger with time).  Anyways, anybody have any recommendations where to have it done or at least where to get some of that fake suede stuff?

I like my HT Moto cover.

the vinyl on my seat was dying so I took to my local shop and asked for it to be recovered.  They used HTMoto and I think it looks absolutely amazing.

The picture on the website is actually my seat, it was the first one they'd done, but here are some close ups.

Hmm, couple of them are a little IZ_.  Sorry, I was using a tripod and macro lense so I could zoom in close.  Must've bumped the tripod or something.

I picked the CF vinyl and non-slip vinyl, both black, altho the non-slip has a little more of a matte finish to it.  i wanted it to look 'kind of' stock, with a dash of zazz.  If you go to the website, you can pick the color and material for each panel, from a pretty extensive list.

i realized I didn't have any pictures of the seat on the bike.

Here it is without the cowl.  I usually run with the cowl, so you might see a faint indentation from the cowl's leading edge.

(shot at an angle to maximize photo dimensions, not for myspaceyness)

Not me!!  I ended up paying way too much money for the Ducati Performance Touring seat (but yes, it does look the tits)
Privateer's got the hot set up.  The HT stuff is very nice...saw it at the bike show and seriously would consider them.

uclabiker06:  look at louimoto seat covers.  Sargent also has nice skins, but doesnt cover all Monster seat variations.

Well does anyone know a place that does this sort of stuff?  With the fake suede material?  what I want is a combination of synthetic leather, like the oem, and the imitation suede.  So, synthetic leather for the part I sit on and then the suede material for the passenger/lower sides piece. I'll shoot an email to luimoto and see what they say; maybe they can make me one.

I bet any good auto upholstery shop could do it.  I looked at HT Moto and it didn't look like they had any suede like material.  Might be worth calling them as well, I think they're in Anaheim.

Check Angelo's Upholstery
6123 Vineland Avenue
CA 91606-4996
(818) 985-3453

He recovered my SV gel-seat when the cover ripped. I found him through the SoCalSVrider board, he has done a lot of reworking SV seats. He can recover and replace foam--I know he has done more than just SVs.
