went for my first ride today as the temps hit 50 today! well i also got a chance to try out my new boots. well I bought them not realizing they are for off road riding...Not a problem
right? how different can they be? well ive never wore full riding boots and they look like street riding boots except for a steel toe guard. So i take off and go to upshift and make the beast with two backs
my foot doesn't fit in between the stock peg and shift lever. I had to ride around in first until i could make it home and change to my work boots [thumbsdown]. So how far can I
adjust the shift lever away from foot peg? Is it just the boots? They are axo boxers and
they look great and dont want to give them up.

They come in different arm lengths and will work as rearsets, without the bling.

If you're considering them - ask me about the part numbers - dealers and manufacturer are still not correct even after I talked to the manufacturer about it years ago.

sounds like that would work....But I am also wondering if the boots are the problem,
they feel nice but should this even be a problem? Is there a "wrong" riding boot for
street and track riding?

note to mods I can make a new thread in the gear section if you think im a bit off topic here...

If you moved the shifter up there might be room for your foot.

I can't say whether the boot will allow the range of motion to actually shift if the shifter is raised.

To answer your question, the boot might be wrong for a street bike.

Off road boots are designed to allow for standing on the pegs which changes all the geometry.

You could stand up every time you needed to shift.

What are you going to get to replace them?
