I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

More seriously...

I really hate these kinds of articles for one reason: the eco-nuts who read them, then feel the urge to pregnant dog about how the money should be used for XYZ.  Who are they to say what someone else spends money on?

well it is funded by the public to an extent. I have read several universities in the UK which are publicly funded have been involved. The RAF( Britain's Air Force) has donated or loaned a Eurofighter engine that is publicly owned. So yes with a large amount of public money in this project I feel those that want to voice their concerns certainly have a right to.
There are two sides to every argument, try and see the other sides issue as well ,doing so makes us all better humans. But having said that I wish them the best of luck and I do hope that they are sccessful .This is much more than a car going fast,It is an engineering project akin to the birth of NASA, it is exploring new technologies, its "Flying the Flag for the UK" and as I stated earlier as several universities/schools are involved it is a wonderful education and learning/research experience for all involved. It IS money well spent, but some as you have noted would think otherwise.
I can't wait to see the world record attempt on the Televison set when it happens and then I also cannot help but wonder.....will they let Jeremy Clarkson and The New Stig have a go?????
Whadya reckon?

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
