Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

« Reply #106 on: June 20, 2011, 03:45:33 PM »

Yes it was good to meet up with a few of you over the weekend ... weather hasn't been kind to us lately and everything has gone a bit quiet (rides, socials, general forum activity) ... so it was good to get out and catch up - apologies for being my usual boisterous self.

I was actually a little surprised about how quiet the Cafe was on Saturday but suspect the police presence on the Old Road had something to do with that. Definitely a lot more activity on Sunday ... also at PITS.

Well, if anyone's up for an early start, I'll be passing Berowra around 7:40'ish, probably be at RW's around 8:30'ish tomorrow morning.
It'd be great to share a coffee with someone!

Hey Dan_t,
Did you have a camera or something mounted on a bracket on the right hand side?

Sure did. I had the GoPro initially attached to the rear peg, then off the side of the tank. I did see a couple of Monsters heading north around Berowra as I made my way back home. Probably around 9'ish. Other than that, didn't see anyone else out that early.

Unfortunately I was not one of those Monsters yesterday. However I did cycle past the Mobil as you were about to leave. Sorry I did not stop, but I figured you didn't want to be caught talking to a lycra bandit (in my best lycra, I might add) so I kept pedalling by.
Maybe next time...

Bloody Heck!

I was rugged up and still FREEZING in the leathers (well, my hands were at the very least. They'd gone past numb through to the stinging stage.....).
How on Earth do you guys manage in that lycra get up?

Ok, Ok, Ok enough of this Tom Foolery.

I've been lurking around here for quite some time now, even contributed my own inane comments occasionally to some random topic that I know nothing about, but I still haven't met anyone!

I guess my habit of a somewhat rude early Sat morning ride isn't shared amogst other Ducatisti, so I'm prepared to make a concession here.

Who is up for a bit of a meet & greet this Sat morning, with a possible ride out to Wollombi (weather permitting)?
If that's too far for everyone, a short(er) blast up & down the Old Rd with an obligatory stop at the Road Warrior also sits just fine with me.

I'd normally be passing the Mobil @ Berowra around 7:30 / 8'ish, but am happy to push this back to 9'ish instead if that helps.
Any takers?

I'd love to, but work has me by the short and curlies at the moment (well, that and skiing!)

Some hibernation does set in when it is colder, but hope to catch up with you all (newer and well worn members included) in the near future.

I think we were the "Couple of Monster's you past heading North" on the Ol' Road last Saturday. Thought we left early, however not as early as some. Might be out to play this weekend too..... Dolph
