Competition Werkes...fender eliminator

total POS!!
Wasted a few hours trying to figure it out last night.
Spent a few more tonight working on it with my dad..who is like friggen McGyver..and still couldn't get it pieced together without having to cut and/or modify.
I would not recommend this kit. It was a complete waste of time and money!! I wish I had found the reviews prior to the purchase since everyone else had similar difficulties that we had.

try out the evotech... it's a pretty solid piece and there are a good amount of installation guides already.

I found a review on TOB from Raux and a few other riders. I'm not sure which one they suggested but I'll look into the EWvotech too. Thanks T!

it wasn't the install, it was the quality, the sharp edges, the general build.
I have the R&G now and it's exceptional compared to the CW and I've heard the Evotech is even better.

here is a great guide on installing the evotech... you can see the quality of the item:
http://www.ducatimonster.org/forums/accessories-mods/200008-696-796-1100-evotech-tail-tidy-install.html
and i think there is a video up of the install on a 696 on youtube

I have read that the CW kit for the new Monsters wasn't very good. However I have the kit for the older Monsters on my bike and it's fantastic. It's a burly piece made out of what looks like lasercut SS and it does have some sharp edges. I just smoothed them out with a file, had it beadblasted then powdercoated black. It now looks like a factory piece and has no sharp edges.
Don't understand how the kit for the older bikes can be the one everyone recommends, yet the kit for the new bikes is the one everyone recommends staying away from. As a rule you should go with whatever is most recommended in the end.

I have the evotech kit on my 1100 along with an eBay LED tail light integrator ($60). One word, awesome.

I saw you didnt recommend the CW after the fact Raux. Wish I had seen the reviews earlier but I don't frequent TOB.
I am looking at the Evotech now.
As for those who installed the CW on your new Monsters, were any of them the '10 1100? There shouldn't be any differences. On mine..the holes would have had to be drilled bigger while shaving off an edge on one piece to make it fit right. Then, the left side stuckout further than the right when it was all together. What a mess.

Why not post some photos? It would help those of us trying to visualize the problems you are having/had.
